When you hear “one single Dose” what comes to your mind? Do you know that one single does of a particular drug is potent enough to bring down a high fever in your body or keep that heart malfunction arm’s length? Have you heard of somebody who through one single act changed his destiny and those of his generations yet unborn for good? One single right action and one single posture look can go a long way in turning things around for you.
Just one look at the brazen serpents in the wilderness restored life and neutralized the deadly poison of the fiery serpents (Numbers 21:8-9). It takes one single act of faith to bring out a miracle from a seeming irredeemable situation. The woman with the issue of blood exemplified one single touch that could change and rewrite an individual’s history. She had suffered for twelve years being infected with disease without any solution in sight. But she understood that there was only one thing she had to do and so, she took a step of faith “…and touched his garment” just once immediately that happened, she “….felt in her body that she was healed of that plague” (Mark 5:25-29). Just one single touch brought an abrupt end to twelve years of intensed suffering. You too can reach out and touch Jesus Christ. He is right there with you!
Also, to get the needed miracle you must learn to be alert to that one word sent out just for your situation. The woman bound by an infirmity for eighteen years in Luke 18, keyed into the word for the hour and got her long sought healing. She was in the temple and while there, her focus was not one her predicament but on the savior. Jesus took note and called for her and just one single proclamation from the master”
…woman thou art loosed from thin infirmity” (Luke 13:12). Scripture reveals that she immediately stood up straight. Obedience is also necessary for a miracle or breakthrough. One single act of obedience in faith brought. Abundant provision to the household of the widow of zarephath (1 kings 17:10-16). While the whole nation gritted its teeth in famine and penury, this woman fed fine for as long as the famine lasted. You can be blessed beyond human comprehension.
All it takes is to do whatsoever He saith unto you (John 2:5). Christ is still very much in the business of changing live and situations. No matter how irreparable the damage in your life seems. He will make all things new for you. One single word of authority from Him brought the high tide of the sea under control “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, PEACE, BE STILL. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm” (Mark 4:39). No matter the storm in your life today; if you can just call on Him in faith, believe in the potency of his word, He will speak peace into your life. One single act of faith is all that it takes to move the insurmountable mountain of whatever negative situation you are passing through.
What is it that the Spirit of God minister to you right now? Do that one single thing, take one single step and walk right into your miracle.
IT’S PAYBACK TIME!
In 2 Kings 8, there’s the story about Elisha and a woman who was a good friend with him. Her son had died, and Elisha come and prayed for the boy, and he came back to life. Later, there was a great famine in the land. Elisha told this woman that she needed to move to another city because of food was going to be so scarce. So she left her home and went to the land of the Philistines. Seven years later, the famine was over. She was so excited about coming back home. But when she arrived, she found that someone was living in her house, farming her land and making money off of her property. She couldn’t believe it. She said, “What are you doing here? This is my house. I built this place. “They wouldn’t budge. They weren’t about to leave.
She didn’t know what to do, so she decided to go see the king. Now, this king wasn’t a godly man. She didn’t have any connection with him. She didn’t even know if the king would see her. But when she arrived, it happened that Gehazi, the assistant to Elisha, was there visiting with the king. The king was very intrigued by the prophet Elisha. He asked Gehazi to tell him some stories about the miracles that Elisha has performed. It just so happened that Gehazi started off telling the story about a little boy who died, and how Elisha prayed and he came back to life. Right as he was telling it, perfectly on cue, this lady walked in the room. Gehazi was amazed. He said, “King! That’s the lady I’m talking about right there. It was her son that came back to life”.
The king said, “Is this true?”
She said, “Exactly true.”
The king was so moved not only by the miracle, but by the fact that this lady had shown up unannounced perfectly on cue. He said to the lady, “Ma’am, what can I do or you?”
She explained her situation of how she was gone for seven years and now she’s back home, and somebody is living in her house. The king said, “No problem. I’ll take care of that”.
He instructed his officials to make sure that she not only got her house back, but the said, “See to it that she gets all the money from any crops that were harvested during the seven years that she was gone”.
What she had lost by being away for seven years was returned to her in one day. That was God restoring the years, paying her back for what should have been hers.
